Join us over the next several weeks while we compete for a Pepsi Refresh Project Grant.  We know that it's hard for high school students to find jobs in this economy.  We know that the cost of a college education keeps going up.  We also know that every student needs a laptop for college. 

What we want you to know is how to join us in helping deserving students earn a laptop in exchange for doing community service.  What can you do to help?  Go to the Pepsi Refresh Project website and read about the grant process.  Then vote, vote, vote, during the month of December.  You can vote each day for up to ten different proposals.  Get on Twitter, Facebook, email, and tell your friends and family to vote.  If we win the grant, come back to this site in mid January to download and fill out an application.  

A committee will select service projects submitted by students from all of Durham's public high schools.  Students that complete their projects will be awarded a laptop and highlights about their project will be posted to this website.
