Book Club promotes literacy at Hillside

Lisa Henninger is the head of the Hillside Book Club organization. “The Book Club is all about getting people who enjoy reading to become part of the club,” she said.
According to Ms. Henninger, the group meets once a month on Tuesday during lunch. The group averages from 20 to 25 students, and newcomers are welcome.
The Book Club reads a lot of different topics; fiction is one of the topics they talk about a lot, Ms. Henninger said. Participants may bring their own poetry for Book Club poetry readings, she added.
